We are the oldest locksmith training company in the country. It is a fact you need good locksmith training and a lot of it, this is why our locksmith training is Three Weeks in duration. It is the minimum time that we believe is required to train you to an acceptable standard.

We do extensive training in lock mechanisms, this will enable you to recognise the different locks and the problem which has developed and most importantly how to rectify it. Also in a "Lock-out situation" you gain the knowledge of how to gain access.

To become a professional Locksmith, requires good knowledge only acquired from a well defined training course such as ours. This can only translate into faith in your ability from all your customers. On the otherhand spending several hours at a lockout and drilling numerous holes in a mortice lock is not the way forward and the customer will soon loose faith in your ability.

With our training course you have the option of completing the training in the same month or if you are looking at Locksmithing as a new career whilst maintaining your present employment and are unable to get 3 weeks off, the training course can be spread over two or three months, this option we find is often taken up by people who are currently working shifts and are thinking of a job change.

Not only do we train you to recognise different systems, we train you to fit locks such as rim, mortice, and digital. We also train you in locks fitted to a "safe", key cutting, car opening, making keys, picking and opening locks.

Additional training includes

• Tools required to trade as Locksmith
• Advise on what stock is carried in your Van
• Business advice on how to set-up your new profession.
• " We will also, while you are on the course, have a guest speaker who is a Chartered Accountant who will advise you on the Self-Employed side of the profession and answer any questions you may have regarding set-up. He also works nationwide and if you wish he can do your accountancy work for you, this includes all correspondence with people like Inland Revenue, ensuring that you do not fall foul of these organisations at any time.
• " You will need a business bank account and help with your financial matters to trade, we have a very good bank manager whose cliental includes Locksmiths they understand your needs and will be an invaluable service to you.

We will also help you acquire accounts at the major locksmith supply companies in the country, these accounts will allow you to purchase, at trade price, stock for your van, tools and any specialist requirements that you may have.

You will also receive a full set of course notes, a specialist picking set, be given access to our 24 hour FREE help line should you need it so you are never on your own.

This course is accredited by NCFE a National Awarding Body, upon successful completion you will be registered with this organisation and you will receive a national certificate acknowledging your achievement.
